WELLTON, Arizona, October 23, 2019 ─ The Wellton Police Department, in Arizona, currently has 7 officers wearing body cameras. Patrol Support Officer David Williams says his department was fortunate enough to have WOLFCOM body cameras donated to them by the local community.

“The incentive to use WOLFCOM was they had the community donation, which allowed the community to donate the money so we could get it [Vision Body Cameras]. So there was no initial out of pocket expense to us. It was just easy and convenient and there was no out of pocket for the department, ‘case we are a small department, a small agency, in a small town, and we don’t have the revenues coming in that can support such a big purchase”

Fort Valley University P.D. Uses and Recommends WOLFCOM Body Cameras

FORT VALLEY, GA, October 18th, 2019 ─ The Fort Valley State University Police Department currently has 28 body cameras deployed and Lieutenant Tatotshia Grier has recently shared their experience with WOLFCOM body cameras and evidence management system. These 28 cameras are split between 14 certified officers and 14 security officers.

According to the Lieutenant, the decision to purchase body cameras was preventive. “We wanted to be protected from the public and we also wanted the public to be protected. Whatever kind of interaction that we have with people, in general, we wanted to be covered, both sides.”

When the body camera is there, there are no ifs, ands, or buts,” he added.

Traffic Enforcement Agents in Ecuador Receive Order of WOLFCOM 3rd Eye Body Cameras

ECUADOR, February 7th, 2019 - A substantial order of WOLFCOM 3rd Eye Body Cameras was recently delivered to the EMOV Tránsito traffic enforcement agents in Alcaldía de Cuenca, Ecuador. EMOV Tránsito is one of the pioneers in the country to implement the use of body cameras on daily activities, which goes to show how serious they are when it comes to accountability and transparency between agents and civilians.

The cameras were delivered through an event organized by the city alongside EMOV Tránsito in order to present the cameras to the officials that'll be wearing them as well as create awareness about the project among citizens. The purchase aims to assist agents with traffic stops and activity monitoring.

The 3rd Eye is equipped with infrared sensors that will protect agents at night by recording every detail, even in extreme low-light situations. The body camera can also be connected to their lapel radio, replacing the 2-way microphone. The built-in GeoTag GPS chip will make sure to always record the agent's location during every step. The body camera can also be used as a digital camera to take still photos. Its multifunctionality is perfect for traffic agents and will greatly improve their conduct while performing their duties.

Although not all officers were happy with implementing body cameras, most were on board with the program. “One or two of them were kinda like ‘why are we being second-guessed?’ but the others were actually very positive, very happy about it. Because this can protect them. There really hasn’t been any real hatred of them, everybody is using them. It works,” said the Chief.

North Channel EMS Professionals Use and Recommend WOLFCOM Body Cameras

Houston, TX, October 3, 2019 ─ North Channel Emergency Medical Services currently has 48 professionals wearing WOLFCOM body cameras and Deputy Director Jay Barkdull says they understand what these devices can do for them. Much like the South Lake EMS department, North Channel is an industry pioneer when it comes to using body cameras. They used in-unit cameras for many years prior to using body-worn cameras, further proving how much they value accountability and transparency between their professionals and patients.

North Channel has been using in-unit cameras for over 10 years but they realized they needed a better alternative. “By watching those [in-unit] videos, we saw we were missing valid information that was happening inside the house or inside the medical center. So, the decision was to migrate to include body cameras and integrate it with our in-unit video,” said Jay.
