Beware of Windows 10 update 1809

Lately, we have been getting an unusual amount of calls about errors and bugs on our WOLFCOM Evidence Management Software 2.0 and Extractor. We didn’t know what could possibly be causing those issues until Microsoft released a statement about its latest Windows update being a defective one. According to the very own Microsoft and several blogs and forums, the Windows 10 update 1809 has been causing many different issues due to missing files, so much so that they have paused the rollout of this update until further notice.

Many WEMS users are experiencing errors, instability and corrupt files in Windows after this update. WOLFCOM won’t be held liable for the malfunction of our software on workstations and servers that have been upgraded with the new 1809 update. Luckily, there’s a way around that. If you have implemented the new 1809 updated within the past 10 days, you can still rollback to the previous version. If you don’t have that option anymore, we advise you to be on the lookout for a new fix update, which should be released anytime soon.
