Q: When I connect the HALO body camera to the HALO Setup Manager, it asks for a password. What is it?

Q: How do I turn off the Auto-IR feature?
A: For Commanders, to turn off the Auto-IR feature, you will need to access the settings from within the Commander App of the Commander Camera and choose the System option. From there, you will want to disable the Auto-IR feature and the icon will turn from green to white indicating that it has been turned off.
For Halos, please check the on/off settings in the Halo Setup Manager under “Auto IR.”

Q: I am being billed for my Notation App. What is it?
A: This app lets officers watch and analyze videos based on their access levels. They can add tags, categories, and notes (both spoken and written) to videos and photos captured with their BWC (Body Worn Camera). When officers finish their shift and dock the body camera, the tags and notes are synchronized with WEMS.

Q: Why does my Halo record right away after I turn it on?

A: You are using "Record After Startup" feature, which tells the camera to record when powered on. This can be disabled with the Halo 2.0 Setup Manager software.

A: You are using the "Pre-Record" feature, which tells the camera to start Pre-recording/saving up to a minute after powered on. This can be disabled with the Halo 2.0 Setup Manager software.

A: You are using the "Flashback" feature, which tells the camera to continuously record "Normal" videos. Disable this feature with the Halo 2.0 Setup Manager software or connect the unit to a PC to charge without starting recording.

 

Q: When I power on my unit, why is the top power button LED red?

A: You are using the "Pre-Record" feature. The red indicator means the camera is currently Pre-Recording - continuously saving up to 1 minute of video.
Tapping the record button once will capture this Pre-Recorded video, and then continue actively recording. This can be disabled with the Halo Setup Manager software.

A: There are many differences between Halo 1.0 and Halo 2.0 camera.  The Halo 2.0 comes with an upgraded 24-hour battery life and a 64GB Memory that are twice the battery life and storage amount of the Halo 1.0.  The Halo 2.0 also has a magnetic dock for a more stable Uploading Experience on the Docking Station. It also comes with an up to 24-hour Flashback feature that can save your footage even when you forget to press record.

  2. Please ensure that you have the software opened and you are logged in before connecting the body camera. Also, if there are no files to extract from the camera, WEMS Lite will not connect to it. If you are unsure whether there are files inside your body camera, you can use the HALO Setup Manager or the Commander Setup Manager to check.

Q: My Commander Wireless Extractor is giving me a red stop sign.

A: Please make sure that your Commander camera has cellular data or connected to WIFI
